Shawna has over 18 years of experience in Interior Design new construction and renovations as well as Interior Decorating. Her work has included condos, spec homes, multi-family units, new builds with developers and she specializes in private residences.

After completing her studies at BCIT, Shawna worked in high-end home furnishings in Vancouver before teaming up with a builder in Langley who became a perfect match in business and in life. Together they started building one dream after another until their portfolios hit the 200 home mark. Much sought after for her experience in Design & Construction, Shawna was asked to open a Design Studio in 2008 for Exclusive Floors. Here she showed her talent in numerous homes in the Surrey, Langley and Whiterock areas.

Currant Designs came into fruition after 16 years in the design industry, when Shawna felt she wanted to continue her own personal journey in Design. Shawna’s is able is to look at a project from many different angles and show clients how to create spaces that are functional yet comfortable so they can meet their personal lifestyle needs without sacrificing their desired aesthetic.

In what is considered a fast-paced industry, Shawna always maintains her professionalism and calm demeanor: she says its because she loves her work. And it shows.
